Rien à dire. C'est tout plat et c'est du pur plaisir que de rouler ici.
Aujourd'hui, nous transpercerons une quebrada durant la première partie de la journée puis suivrons une rivière dont le débit me fera presque penser que je longe l'Amblève (rivière ardenaise pour mes amis d'outre-Quiévrain).

Bref, si je retire les moustiques et les zancudos (midges) que du bonheur !
Ce soir nous demanderons pour planter la tente sur la jolie pelouse de ce que nous prendrons d'abord pour une simple estancia mais qui se révélera, après une visite guidée être un immense hôtel. Un hôtel dont nous seront les seuls touristes à y passer la nuit.

Vu que l'on a pas l'air « trop riche », la patronne nous apportera un grand plat de pop-corn en signe de bienvenue.

Enzo's bike is not entirely fixed, but he decides to continue anyway (and let it check in a bigger town). (=Maybe that's the reason why he is always behind?)
The sky is clearbleu today (=that means heat again, but it's supportable).
The route is again very different, and very nice.
I have the feeling that this is another Peru than 3 years ago, and also different from the border with Ecuador = more 'richer' : no Indians here, people do their best to dress modern, hostals are clean and decorated with taste, little houses have managed their little gardens (with grass and flowers) and I saw 2 big Mercedes today... (=never saw all this before in Peru).
In the morning we cycle through a rocky quebrada that reaches very high.

Here and there I hear some parrots and parakeets, and sometimes they fly over our heads. We also pass the entrance to go see the Gotca-waterfall (=it is a waterfall of 700m high), but we don't go to see it, because it's a 2-3 hour-walking trail (unable to do by bike).
On the road I hear behind me 'Viva Belgium! (=that can't be Peruvians, but it's a a caravan with a Swiss-couple).
Around noon we arrive at the cross to go to Chachapoyas (=a village recommended in the tourist-guide), but also there we don't go (as we head direction Cajamarca, and to just go to Chachapoyas is a 10kms-climb (and back 10kms).
We take some almuerzo (at the only cabane there is), it's good for the energy for the afternoon, but my stomach starts to dislike always the same dish (rice with 'some' chicken... I just don't like it anymore, but I know that I will still have to eat them often...)
From here on the gravel-road begins (and we won't see any asphalt anymore till before Trujillo (=that long)), but it's a good gravel-road (quiet hard, with little stones).
Also here the route is very pretty, more green, and a large river keeps on streaming besides us.

The only problem with rivers is that there are many mosquitos and other insects, so from the moment we take a pause, we cannot stay too long and have to move on quickly. In the afternoon, the Swiss-caravan passes us again (=we go fast, they say !) (They made the detour to Chachapoyas and had lunch there).
Time to look for a place to sleep, but with all these insects and other creatures in the vegetation we don't really know where. We see a house where some guys are working on a car, and ask if we may put our tent in their garden. OK, no problem. It's a very big and beautiful house, with a very nice decoration. It is only after some time that we realize that this is in fact a hotel (=there was no sign, as they only work with tour-operators for tourists that make circuits). There is a bar and restaurant (all very well decorated = again, a very different (richer) Peru than I was used to see so far). Really cool they just let us camp for free (we could even use the bathroom).
