San Marcos – Cajabamba (27/10/2010) | 60 km parcourus |
Saludos..
San Marcos – Cajabamba (10/27/2010) | 60 km cycled |
In the morning the local orchestra of San-Marcos plays salsa-tunes.
Lots of music everywhere here |
Every (bigger) village has its little orchestra that plays on the Plaza de Armaz, there is music on the busses and 'collectivos', music in the streets,...
I don't like so much the music they listen to here (=mostly criollo-pop), but it's good that people like music.
Like most cycling days we got up early, but start to cycle only at noon (as we went to clean the bikes (which were full of dust again), bying food, etc).
It is sunny and quiet hot, but after only 2 kms Enzo has got a flat tyer (again... it's already his 4th in this trip (?)).
After the fixing it's already one o'clock, which made us arrive in Cajabamba late (=around 6 in the eve). We were quiet tired (=the last 10 kms we were served a steep climb) but we cycled well this day.
In the hall of the hotel we notice a travel-bike. It belongs to Paul, an American from the East-Coast (near Boston) making Alaska-Ushuaïa by bike. Already 3 years ago many cyclists made this trip, but now it seems to be a real trend (=many cyclists trying this challenge).
So we will be the 3 of us tomorrow (=the second time we cycle with another cyclist, and the second time that it is an American).
